Far from just being an indulgently lazy habit, naps are ideal for refreshing and recharging the body. And now it has been scientifically proven! It is now known that sleep provides the body with the perfect conditions to repair itself, for the brain to be refreshed and for overall inflammation to be lowered (which incidentally is great for forging youthful-looking skin). Better yet, naps offer up exactly the same benefits as a longer sleep. So, while 20 minutes of nap time won’t prevent you from sleeping at night, it will revitalize the body and mind.
